David Arquette Celebrates Father’s Day in New Short Video by Helping an Iraqi Child

In Robert Greenwald and Brave New Foundation’s www.fathersdayforpeace.org David Arquette joins campaign to change a young boy’s life

Los Angeles – Award winning actor and producer David Arquette stars in a new short viral video launched today in honor of Father’s Day. Arquette discusses how fatherhood enriched his life and calls on viewers to help an Iraqi father and son in need. Acclaimed director Robert Greenwald’s Brave New Foundation produced the moving video which is being distributed virally via You Tube and can be seen at www.fathersdayforpeace.org.

“Fatherhood is the one thing that unifies our world, it really redefined love for me” says Arquette in the short. “It shows you how we are all the same, how we all care about our kids.”

The two minute video includes Arquette and the story of an Iraqi father and his son, Abdul Hakeem who was badly injured in the Iraq war. Viewers have the opportunity to help Abdul Hakeem, by making a donation to No More Victims in the name of their Father and sending an e-Father’s Day card through the website www.fathersdayforpeace.org.

“On holidays like Father’s Day, it’s important to remember what we share with those around the world- like the bonds between a father and a son” said the film’s director Robert Greenwald. “We created a film for Mother’s Day and helped No More Victims bring a war injured girl to the U.S. for medical care. When we heard this father and son story, we knew we wanted to help them too.”

Abdul Hakeem was severely injured during the first siege of Falluja, his father helped save his life. With the help of the group No More Victims, Abdul Hakeem will be brought to Pittsburgh where doctors from Children's Hospital will repair his injuries and give his family hope for the future. No More Victims is a non-profit, non-sectarian, humanitarian organization whose mission is to restore the health and well-being of victims of war and to advocate and educate for peace.
